Things to Enjoy Locally

Cycling
Cycling options direct from the campsite are endless.
You can take on the taxing hills of the Chalke Valley or meander along the pretty River Ebble or River Wylye.
In any case, you will get fantastic views of the south Wiltshire Downs and enjoy Salisbury's famous 'five rivers'.

Walking
We have a fantastic range of wonderful walks direct from the site - whether you want an amble around the farm or a full day out.
There are water meadows, rivers, ancient downland and woodland all within easy reach, with great views to boot.
Ask us for a link to our on-line maps with walking routes to suit all requirements.
Golf
There are numerous golf courses around Salisbury, but our favourite is South Wilts, which surrounds the racecourse and is within an easy walk. It is well established with great views over the city and they are always glad to welcome guests, paying a Green Fee.
Other courses are available nearby at High Post, Hamptworth and Wellow.
Horse Racing
Salisbury Racecourse is the second oldest in England and it adjoins the farm!
Take a walk to enjoy a day's racing at the course which is well regarded by top trainers as the perfect outing for their best young horses. With its straight mile with a gentle incline all the way to the winning post, plus amazing views, it really is a great day out for enthusiasts and casual punters alike.
Fishing
If you enjoy fishing, the famous chalk streams around Salisbury are your Mecca.
With the 'five rivers' to choose from you really can enjoy the very best chalk stream fishing available in England (and probably the world). The peace, tranquility and feeling at one with nature is something to be experienced.

River Activities
Whether you prefer to be on the water or in it, there are multiple options for you on one of Salisbury's 'five rivers'.
You may prefer the gentle art of punting and paddle boarding or the thrill of open water swimming.

Skydiving
If you you really cannot find sufficient thrills on the ground, you could take to the air from Old Sarum Airfield to try a parachute jump. If even that is too tame, you could even experience the ultimate excitement of skydiving.
